It is the most southernmost continent on Earth, situated in the Antarctic region of the Southern Hemisphere. It contains the geographic South Pole and it is the fifth largest continent. [1]

The area of Antarctica is considered as a desert, and there are no permanent human residents there - only from 1,000 to 5,000 people reside throughout the year at some of the research stations that are scattered across the continent. [2]

Lara travels to Antarctica to give the Meteorite Artefacts to Mark Willard, but she soon finds out his true intentions and has no other choice but to try to stop him.
