Swiping is the primary method of controlling Lara in Lara Croft: Relic Run besides Tapping. To move Lara from one Lane to another, the player has to just swipe in that direction; e.g. to get from the middle into the left lane, one has to drag a finger from right to left across the Touchscreen of the Smartphone or Tablet PC. Likewise all other directions are controlled via swiping: To perform a Jump, the player has to swipe upwards, and downwards for a Slide.

The same motions are needed when Lara is on a vehicle like the ATV or the Motorbike. Note that both can not jump - the upward swipe on the ATV does not perform any move and the bike will get onto its back wheel, making it possible to cross certain obstacles like boxes and crates.

Timing is essential while swiping: Jumping too early may cause Lara to not reach the other side of a crevice and fall to her death, while she will probably hit her head when sliding too late.
