Next Generation Console

The Term Next Generation Console was first used to the PlayStation 2. Reason for that being that it was the next generation after the PlayStation. This term is now being used for the XBox 360 as well, even though they are not from the same generation.
It can also be used for the PlayStation 3.
The term is often shortened to "Next Gen", and is used as a euphemism of the section of the series made by Crystal Dynamics and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Six; Angel of Darkness.
