Nagas are enemies Lara will face in the Thailand levels, in Tomb Raider Underworld.
Nagas, in mythology, are half women half snake creatures [1] and are usually larger than normal humans.
In a promotional image from Eidos, it has been revealed that the in-game Nagas are actually quadruped lizards that will (in great number) snoop around the temple and attack Lara with acid and their claws. They've also been seen in the second official trailer attacking Lara ferociously.
In the Beneath The Surface Eidos interview[2], Lara can be seen facing nagas at the bottom of Shiva's statue and in another scene a red naga can be seen climbing a wall trying to reach Lara (who is also climbing), it is the first time we have a chance to compare its size to Lara's, which is considerably bigger. They will be common enemies and not bosses as expected. They've also shown to be very fast and aggressive.
NOTES
- They will not appear in the demo version of the game(at least as enemies)
