Yakuza is the Japanese mafia which has significant influence within the Japanese society. Yakuza was first introduced in Comic Issue 13. More recently they are featured in the game Legend.
Comic Issue 13
Lara tries to retrieve a Jade Statue that was stolen by Chu, a Yakuza boss.
Legend
Lara Croft cross path with the Yakuza when she tries to acquire an Excalibur fragment that was stolen by Shogo Takamoto, a Yakuza Kamicho (boss), by force.

Armed with assault rifle and grenades, those goons appear to be at the bottom of the Yakuza.
Their action in terms of gameplay is comparable to Medium Armored Mercenary, but with slightly less health.
