Occurrence
Obstacle Type Trigger

The Turnstile Winch (or Rotating Lever, also known under the nautical term Capstan and the mining term Whim) serves as a trigger throughout a number of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Games.

Occurrence

Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation

In Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation this trigger is also found.

  • The Great Hypostyle Hall
In The Great Hypostyle Hall you will find three of these triggers. The first has to be turned once clockwise, the second has to be turned twice (180 degrees) and the third has to be turned once counter-clockwise.

Tomb Raider: Underworld

In Tomb Raider: Underworld this type of trigger is found in the Croft Manor during the level Protected by the Dead and in similar form in the Southern Mexico Section.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

  • Tomb of the Timekeeper
In the Tomb of the Timekeeper Lara has to use one of the turnstile winches to operate a set of Folding Ledges which will be raised for a short period of time, thus presenting her with a Time Run.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

This trigger style returns in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

In the Challenge Tomb Howling Caves which is found at the eastern end of the Kuwaq Yaku region, Lara has to use a couple of, what she calls, rotating levers to operate shutters controlling the wind flow.
