There are two kinds of Stone Warriors:

The Stone Warrior with Sword is only seen in the Floating Islands level.
The Stone Warrior with Spear is seen in that level and The Dragon's Lair.

The PlayStation version of the game allows players to kill these enemies before they become active by shooting them with grenades.
