Parisian Back Streets is the first level in The Angel of Darkness. This also serves as Trainings Level for AoD. Lara gives instructions.
She is in a yard outside and has to find a way to the other side of the building. Her path leads her up to the roof.
She has to collect a crowbar to continue.
In this level she will also find a M-V9 and the first Power Up.
There are just two baddies, a chained dog and a guard on which Lara can practice her Stealth Attack.
There is also one key, the Gantry Gate Key, to pick up.
Lara can climb down on the other side of the roof to find her way to the Derelict Apartment Block.

Story
Lara has been framed for a crime she did not commit, the murder of Werner VonCroy. She is now on the run from the police. In the last scene before the level starts, a pack of dogs has taken Lara's backpack from her. Leaving her gearless in the Parisian back streets.
With no real lead to follow, Lara decides to look for Werner's friend Margot Carvier. After bypassing the police and making her way through a few buildings and rooftops, Lara finally reaches a relatively safe place, inside an old apartment block.

Hidden Training Level
There is in fact a hidden area accessible from here if you use the fly cheat to walk through the locked door down from the dog when the level first begins. This was originally intended to be the training for more advanced moves such as commando crawl, but was never finished. In spite of that it is still playable albeit with some missing textures.
