Lasers came in many forms in the Tomb Raider Series, making their first appearance in the Military parts of the Nevada sections of Tomb Raider 3, as death traps as well as an alarm trigger, walking through one would mean death to the heroine.
In the Louvre and Von Croy's Apartment in Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness there are trip wires (lasers) which, once broke, in the Louvre an alarm will sound. In Von Croy's Apartment breaking the connection will cause a bomb to explode.
