The Flammable Barrier is an obstacle in Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider. A flammable barrier usually contains white cloth and can be set on fire using a burning object, like a torch or remotely via a thrown Molotov Cocktail, or a Fuel Barrel or an Oil Cask.

An earlier obstacle of similar type is the Flammable Floor in Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

The flammable barrier returns in Rise of the Tomb Raider where one has to mainly use Molotov Cocktails, or later Fire Arrows to tear them down.

They occur within the Soviet Installation region, where they are first seen in the Copper Mill, after Lara learns the usage of Molotov Cocktails. They also occur within the Challenge Tomb The Red Mine which is found in this region.

Flammable barriers can also be found throughout the Cold Darkness Awakened DLC where they block the entrances to the Chemical Production Towers among others.
