The Tomb Raider Collectible Card Game (or CCG for short) was first published in 1999 by Precedence Entertainment. It was produced until 2000, when the company was faced with financial struggle. The Tomb Raider intellectual property was never picked up by any other board game publisher, and Precedence went out of business in 2002[1].

Overview

The player can take on the role of Lara Croft herself (or one of her many rivals) and explore a series of various locations from the games. Enemies and obstacles stand in the way as you progress throughout these locations, and must be overcome to obtain the hidden treasures found within. If the player can survive and obtain the treasure, they win the game. The game can be played by yourself, or with multiple players all competing for the same goal.

It features familiar content from the first three games in the series (plus some card game exclusive content), including characters, locations, enemies, weapons, and obstacles. Game screenshots are used as the card images in addition to promotional images, renders, and custom artwork.

Releases

In addition to the initial release, two expansion sets were fully developed and published, introducing new rules and elements to the game.

Custom Cards

An unofficial card creator for the Tomb Raider CCG has been developed by Croft Storm. Using this simple tool, a large number of unofficial cards have been created by fans, including three complete quest sets. These sets are currently available for download from Board Game Geek.
