During the adventure in [[Ireland]] [[Young Lara]] finds a '''Bestiary'''. It is a book which appears to be very useful in the rest of the Ireland part.

In fact a bestiary is in most cases a medieval manuscript, containing descriptions of animals- the existing ones and those mythological and fantastic, like for example centaur or unicorn. Beasts described in such books were to present human characteristics and sometimes became even symbols of some features, like the dove= innocence, the lion= brave.

The manuscripts also told about specific features of animals themselves and people beliefs connected with their habits and behaviour. Bestiaries were handwritten by the monks, with ink, on parchment, decorated with gold and color pigments illuminations presenting beasts.
