The Photographer Mode (aka. Photo Mode) is a special mode introduced first in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It can be used to take pictures of Lara and other characters in the game, or to simply take snapshots of the environment.

To activate the photo mode enter the in-game menu (PS4: Options, Xbox One: Menu) and choose Photographer Mode. There are several options to choose from, like changing the point of view, the angle, rotation, and depth of field settings. There are multiple borders and frames to choose from, as well as colour options like sepia and black-and-white. Additionally the Photographer Mode is connected to Social Media for competitions: players can publish their Screenshots.

Lara takes these pictures presumably with the same camera she uses in-game, a small compact model. These pictures, that can be found as Documents in the Artifact section of the in-game inventory, do have the distinct white frame of an old style instant camera film, only that the pictures are slightly wider.
