I realise that people will think I'm the very last person to write Katie Fleming's entry but since I still get emails accusing me of hating her (I don't) as well as disingenuous entries on less objective Wikipedia suggesting that I'm responsible for all sorts of things that I'm not responsible for with regard to Katie, I thought I'd have a go at starting off this article. Of course, Wiki Raider can edited by anyone, so if you disagree with what I have written - change it. Just please don't send me any more hate mail or write any more bizarre things about me on your websites if you disagree :). Thanks Ostercy 10:55, 17 September 2008 (CEST)

Just to be clear - and there is ample documentation to back this page up - it wasn't the inclusion of Katie and various other people in the credits of Anniversary that sparked comment. It was the GameTap interview. And also to be clear - the controversy was about the "news blackout" coordinated across two or three TR forums on people who wanted to discuss it (not only myself I might add), for which there is also ample documentation. It wasn't about Katie-bashing or envy of Katie, and the (continuing) effort to portray the controversy as all about Katie was (and is) an attempt to divert attention away from the Admins of various forums and to stir up the legion of Katie fans in order to obscure the issue. The description of the controversy given here is not biased - it is merely factual. Ostercy 09:05, 20 September 2008 (CEST)

Tim - I agree with you about not including Wikis generally as references. I included that particular one since it seems to me to be biased and illustrated that for some people the whole debate is still a live issue. But I bow to your suggestion that we don't give it "the oxygen of publicity" :) Ostercy 14:32, 20 September 2008 (CEST)

: Ah, my mistake - I thought you were relying on it for its actual content (although I remain convinced it should not be included if we're to kill this once and for all). I plan on attempting to clear up that wiki too at some point - it's frankly ridiculous that you and Katie are assumed the only two authors "of note" on that page. I'd leave that Wiki to its own devices if I was you and spend your time working on this one. The only reason they included me was so that they could defame me :) They made no mention of my writing or my other contributions to fan fiction. Ostercy 17:46, 20 September 2008 (CEST)

Ah, my mistake - I thought you were relying on it for its actual content (although I remain convinced it should not be included if we're to kill this once and for all).

Well I fixed it up as best I could anyway - we'll see how long it lasts. Anyhow, I consider my work ensuring the various wikis are accurate regarding this stuff to be done now - though I will just say I find this dialogue from TR Legend quite appropriate for that whole mess ;)

"He tried so hard. And they hated him for it."
"No one hated him, Lara."
"It bloody well wasn't love, was it? His reputation was destroyed. Now there's more than one thing to be salvaged from that mountain top."

As you suggest I'll now be doing some real content in this wiki (which is in my opinion the original and best anyway :) Tim Arnold 01:02, 21 September 2008 (CEST)

That is disappointing - by the "wikisysop" no less (wow, I also got blocked for "Inserting nonsense/gibberish into pages"). I take your point now. Tim Arnold 20:45, 21 September 2008 (CEST)
