In [[Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris]] [[Horus]] and [[Isis]] can use their '''Shield''' to defend themselves against all kinds of [[Enemies]] and their projectiles. Unlike [[Totec's Shield]] in [[Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light|GoL]] this is an energy barrier that surrounds the player on all sides, protecting him or her even from attacks from behind, but it weakens over time and may fail completely, leaving the player vulnerable to attacks. As before, the other players like [[Lara]] or [[Carter Bell]] can stand on the shield to reach higher ground by jumping.

Instead of a shield Lara has a [[Magnetic Grapple]] she can attach to rings and other players.
