The '''Guardian of the Kingdom''' is an opponent in [[The Golden Mask]]. He is very much like the [[Guardian of the Talion]] encountered in the [[Ice Palace]] [[Tomb Raider II]], except for that it's a dark golden colour instead of grey and partially wears a golden armour.

It's attacks are the same. It is important that Lara keeps moving and away from it. It is recommended to use a powerful weapon.

This opponent makes two appearances in the game.

The first time is in its natural habitat in the [[Kingdom]]. In this level you can find a chamber with a magical bridge in which you can capture the Guardian and take him out easily.

The second time is in a [[hotel]] in the [[Nightmare in Vegas]] - [[Bonus Level]], where it is locked in a cage. Lara needs to free and kill it to finish the level.
