In the intro video we see him, [[Winston]] and [[Charles Kane]], attending a memorial service for Lara Croft. They meet at the [[Croft Mansion]] and share memories from their adventures with Lara.

When lightning causes the lights to go out, he begins to tell his tale.

He makes several appearances in The Irish Levels of Tomb Raider Chronicles. During these events his hair changes from brown to white.

'''Dr. Willard''' is a character of Scottish decent, whom Lara meets in India ([[Tomb Raider III]]).
She meets him on a boat on the [[Ganges]], after taking the [[Infada Stone]] from [[Tony]], in the [[Caves of Kaliya]]. After explaining the story involving the [[HMS Beagle]], he tells her that there are more [[artefact]] like the Infada stone, the [[Meteorite Artefacts]]. He hires Lara to retrieve them in the [[South Pacific]], in [[London]] and in [[Nevada]].

Willard owns a company called RX-Tech, pressumably a drilling and mining company. It was him who found the grave of Paul Caulfield, the sailor who died from the HMS Beagle. RX-Tech have uncovered the [[Lost City of Tinnos]] and the [[Meteorite Cavern]]. Willard and RX-Tech had to mine underneath the ground since the cave which the sailors had entered the cavern, was collapsed.

When Lara meets Willard at his base in [[Antarctica]], to hand him the artefacts, he reveals to her their true powers and that of the [[Meteorite]]. Lara disagrees with his intentions but he attempts to shoot her and escapes with the artefacts into the [[RX-Tech Mines]]. Lara can follow him, but he has disappeard from sight. She meets him again by the impact crater in the [[Meteorite Cavern]]. Willard throws himself into the crater and emerges as [[Willard Mutant]].

From a Radio speech at the opening of Tombraider III he is refered to as Mark, hence several references to Dr. Mark Willard

This Warhammer is also called the Mjolnir, it was a powerful weapon of Thor which he used to win great victories.

It appears in [[St. Francis Folly]] from [[Tomb Raider I]] and is represented as a giant hammer in the Room of Thor.
