A reference or source for the "close relationship" with KTEB is needed, which at the moment is hearsay. Any links to documentation would be worthwhile. Since this relationship is already mentioned in the [[Kurtis Trent]] page, surely adding it here give it an unwarranted importance in Murti's bio - I doubt it is a defining event in his life, or else it would be on his IMDB entry. There is barely any information about Murti Schofield avaliable in the public domain, so anything which relates to Tomb Raider is worthy of a mention, including his correspondence with fans. I've added some references about the well-documented friendship between Eric/Murti and the KTEB, and I can't think what more I can add to prove that these facts are true. There are even photos of a KTEBer with Eric when she met him, but I am not going to link to them without permission. Also, the proof that the KTEB were driven from TRF by flamers is right there in the original KTEB thread on TRF from several years ago. I'm in the process of digging up said thread to reference, but it may have been deleted by now (this was about five years ago).
These aren't accusations - they are facts. It is almost impossible to 'prove' them because no one cares to believe what is said on a site unless it is Eidos-endorsed. Thanks for the references :) As far as I know Wiki Raider doesn't distinguish between Eidos-endorsed and non-Eidos-endorsed sites; I think you may be confusing WR with some other Wikis :) Citing the Tomb Raider Forums, for example, carries no more or less weight than citing the KTEB forums. But any citation in the WR article about KTEB is better than no citation ... As for not being about to link to a MySpace blog, I'm surprised that you can't at least post the url, or put in a sentence saying "See Murti's blog, this url, this date"... I still think some changes should be made to the article. Somehow the falming issue gets too much focus, not saying that it should not be mentioned, but the goals of the mission should be the main focus, in my opinion. (In other words: Come first.)

No problem, Tombraidergirl :) As for the flaming thing, the point of a wiki is to provide a truthful view of a subject (referenced, of course), and it is impossible to write anything extensively about the KTEB on other wikis (apparently doing so qualifies as 'nonsense and gibberish'). The nature of its origins is also crucial to understanding of the KTEB. I'll have a fiddle around with the order of the text if you like.

Is there any way to have the fanfiction table be collapsable? It takes ages for the page to load and discourages people from scrolling down to view the rest of the article.

==Biography==
Kurtis was born on June 26, [[1972]] in Utah Salt Flats, USA.

He is an ex-Legionnaire and also an experienced warrior with limited occult abilities. From the age of three, he was trained as an initiate in an ancient order called the [[Lux Veritatis]] by his father, Konstantin. At the age of 19, however, he disappeared to join the Foreign Legion and changed his surname to Trent. Here, he adopted the nickname 'Demon Hunter' after being constantly assaulted by bizarre events linked to the occult.

He left the Foreign Legion in 1996, and began freelancing with a variety of mercenary and semi-legal agencies under the direction of Marten Gunderson.

In 2001, just before the events of Angel of Darkness, his father is murdered by Eckhardt. It is here that Kurtis takes on his father's role as the last surviving member of the Order. He is now on a quest for revenge against those that wiped out the Order and killed his father.
 

==In the game==
Lara's first contact with Kurtis in the game is in the [[Café Metro]], where he is sitting at a table in a corner. He doesn't speak to her. Their next encounter is in front of the [[Serpent Rouge]], where he flees on his motorbike. Lara doesn't see him again until after the explosion in the [[Pawn Shop]]. He is sitting on a jetty, smoking a cigarette. Again, she isn't able to talk to him. She meets him again in the Louvre, where, in a very tense scene, he disarms Lara and steals her Obscura Painting.

After chasing Kurtis out of the Louvre, Lara is knocked unconscious by a guard. She wakes up to find Kurtis gone and a crystal shard on the ground beside her, which she pockets. Her next meeting with Kurtis takes place in the [[Strahov]] in Prague. He tells Lara that she has made a mess and that he has to correct her mistake by turning the power back on, although not before Lara taunts him with the crystal shard.

The player then takes control of Kurtis in three levels ([[The Sanitarium]], [[Maximum Containment Area]] & [[Boaz Returns]]).

After their meeting in Prague, Kurtis and Lara decide to team up in an attempt to stop Eckhardt. Coming from the [[Vault of Trophies]], Lara finds that Eckhardt has captured Kurtis. She gives Eckhardt the last Obscura Painting in exchange for Kurtis' life, and then the pair are left to the mercy of the mutant creature [[Boaz]].

Using his psychic boost, Kurtis helps Lara to safety and faces Boaz alone. After a gruesome fight, Kurtis defeats his opponent, but is mortally wounded after being stabbed through the stomach.

In the final cutscene, Lara discovers Kurtis' Chirugai lying in a suspiciously large pool of blood. She picks it up, and it directs her towards a nearby doorway, perhaps indicating that Kurtis is still alive and able to wield it.

==Fate==
There has been much speculation about the apparent death of Kurtis. According to an official interview with Adrian Smith, a part had already been written for his character in the planned second and third games of the Angel of Darkness trilogy. A cliffhanger was introduced regarding Kurtis' ultimate fate at the end of the first game as an insurance policy, depending on fan reaction towards his character.

Theories about his fate are varied. However, as Eidos initially planned to continue the Angel of Darkness story into two more games it is a safe bet that he survived.

Although receiving generally poor reviews from the gaming media, Angel of Darkness has inspired quite a number of fanfiction continuations and spin-offs, many focused around or including the character of Kurtis Trent. Kurtis was born on June 26, [[1972]] in Utah Salt Flats, USA.

He is an ex-Legionnaire and also an experienced warrior with limited occult abilities. From the age of three, he was trained as an initiate in an ancient order called the [[Lux Veritatis]] by his father, Konstantin. At the age of 19, however, he disappeared to join the Foreign Legion and changed his surname to Trent. Here, he adopted the nickname 'Demon Hunter' after being constantly assaulted by bizarre events linked to the occult.

He left the Foreign Legion in 1996, and began freelancing with a variety of mercenary and semi-legal agencies under the direction of Marten Gunderson.

In 2001, just before the events of Angel of Darkness, his father is murdered by Eckhardt. It is here that Kurtis takes on his father's role as the last surviving member of the Order. He is now on a quest for revenge against those that wiped out the Order and killed his father.

Lara's first contact with Kurtis in the game is in the [[Café Metro]], where he is sitting at a table in a corner. He doesn't speak to her. Their next encounter is in front of the [[Serpent Rouge]], where he flees on his motorbike. Lara doesn't see him again until after the explosion in the [[Pawn Shop]]. He is sitting on a jetty, smoking a cigarette. Again, she isn't able to talk to him. She meets him again in the Louvre, where, in a very tense scene, he disarms Lara and steals her Obscura Painting.

After chasing Kurtis out of the Louvre, Lara is knocked unconscious by a guard. She wakes up to find Kurtis gone and a crystal shard on the ground beside her, which she pockets. Her next meeting with Kurtis takes place in the [[Strahov]] in Prague. He tells Lara that she has made a mess and that he has to correct her mistake by turning the power back on, although not before Lara taunts him with the crystal shard.

The player then takes control of Kurtis in three levels ([[The Sanitarium]], [[Maximum Containment Area]] & [[Boaz Returns]]).

After their meeting in Prague, Kurtis and Lara decide to team up in an attempt to stop Eckhardt. Coming from the [[Vault of Trophies]], Lara finds that Eckhardt has captured Kurtis. She gives Eckhardt the last Obscura Painting in exchange for Kurtis' life, and then the pair are left to the mercy of the mutant creature [[Boaz]].

Using his psychic boost, Kurtis helps Lara to safety and faces Boaz alone. After a gruesome fight, Kurtis defeats his opponent, but is mortally wounded after being stabbed through the stomach.

In the final cutscene, Lara discovers Kurtis' Chirugai lying in a suspiciously large pool of blood. She picks it up, and it directs her towards a nearby doorway, perhaps indicating that Kurtis is still alive and able to wield it.

After chasing Kurtis out of the Louvre, Lara is knocked unconscious by a guard. She wakes up to find Kurtis gone and a crystal shard on the ground beside her, which she pockets. Her next meeting with Kurtis takes place in the [[Strahov]] in Prague. He tells Lara that she has made a mess and that he has to correct her mistake by turning the power back on, although not before Lara taunts him with the crystal shard.

The player then takes control of Kurtis in three levels ([[The Sanitarium]], [[Maximum Containment Area]] & [[Boaz Returns]]).

After their meeting in Prague, Kurtis and Lara decide to team up in an attempt to stop Eckhardt. Coming from the [[Vault of Trophies]], Lara finds that Eckhardt has captured Kurtis. She gives Eckhardt the last Obscura Painting in exchange for Kurtis' life, and then the pair are left to the mercy of the mutant creature [[Boaz]].

Using his psychic boost, Kurtis helps Lara to safety and faces Boaz alone. After a gruesome fight, Kurtis defeats his opponent, but is mortally wounded after being stabbed through the stomach.

In the final cutscene, Lara discovers Kurtis' Chirugai lying in a suspiciously large pool of blood. She picks it up, and it directs her towards a nearby doorway, perhaps indicating that Kurtis is still alive and able to wield it.

==Fate==
There has been much speculation about the apparent 'death' of Kurtis. According to an official interview with Adrian Smith, a part had already been written for his character in the planned second and third games of the Angel of Darkness trilogy. A cliffhanger was introduced regarding Kurtis' ultimate fate at the end of the first game as an insurance policy, depending on fan reaction towards his character.

Theories about his fate are varied. However, as Eidos initially planned to continue the Angel of Darkness story into two more games, it is a safe bet that he survived.

Although receiving generally poor reviews from the gaming media, Angel of Darkness has inspired quite a number of fanfiction continuations and spin-offs, many focused around or including the character of Kurtis Trent. There is also [http://www.fanfiction.net/communities/game/Tomb_Raider/ a C2 community on fanfiction.net] dedicated to the Lara/Kurtis relationship.

Kurtis has gained a number of fans, both male and female, since the release of Angel of Darkness. Most are members of the KTEB (Kurtis Trent Estrogen Brigade) an online Kurtis fanclub. The phrase '[http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=estrogen%20brigade estrogen brigade]' comes from a popular internet trend for naming fan clubs of (predominantly) female membership.

The KTEB has been around in varying forms since 2003, beginning on [http://www.tombraiderforums.com/ tombraiderforums.com]. It maintains a large presence there until this day, but most members relocated to [http://kteb.net/ kteb.net] after encountering a lot of opposition and flaming from forum members. The KTEB's mission is to promote the merits of Kurtis and, to a lesser extent, the game that he is featured in - namely, Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Their efforts have helped Kurtis be voted the [http://4thegirlgamers.blogspot.com/2006/06/top-ten-hottest-video-game-guys.html 8th hottest male video game character] in a poll by TheGirlGamer.net.[http://4thegirlgamers.blogspot.com/] Playstation Magazine UK dubbed the KTEB 'one of the internet's most feared lobbying groups'.[http://img155.imageshack.us/my.php?image=playstationmagazineis5.jpg]

The KTEB maintain a close relationship with [[Eric Loren]], who provided the voice of Kurtis, and [[Murti Schofield]], Kurtis' creator. They have been mentioned in various gaming magazines, and were also the subject of an article in the April 2008 issue of Playstation Magazine UK. Members hail from around the world and meet up on a regular basis, mainly in the UK, but meets have also been arranged in the US and Europe.
